Westfield, New Jersey, in the early 18th
Century. The Tuckers were among the first pioneers in
what is now metropolitan Cincinnati, Ohio. Some of the
family moved to Indiana and then to Akron, Ohio. There
are 71 Tuckers in this genealogy, spanning 7
generations. One nearly illegible family Bible record
implies the Tucker name may have come from TOOKER.
Ancestral DNA testing shows the Y-DNA haplogroup for this
Tucker bloodline is I-M223.
- The HARRINGTON family begins in
Pennsylvania in 1791. The Harringtons were early
settlers in northeast Ohio and later in southern
Michigan. The family includes blacksmiths, mechanics,
machinists, carpenters, builders and engineers. The
Harrington family married into the Tucker family in
1938. There are 29 Harringtons in this genealogy,
spanning 6 generations.
- The ROUTH family begins in
England in the late 18th Century. They were
among the early settlers along the Wabash River in
Indiana. Later generations moved to Ohio and
elsewhere. The family has been in the butcher and meat
packing business for 4 generations. The Routh family
married into the Tucker family in 1908. There are 31
Rouths in this genealogy, spanning 6 generations.
- The RIEKER family begins in
Germany as RIECKER in the mid 17th Century.
They came to the Society of Separatists of Zoar, a commune
that operated during most of the 19th Century in Tuscarawas
County, Ohio. The Rieker family married into the
Harrington family in 1901. There are 63 Riekers in this
genealogy, spanning 9 generations.

- VOORHIES with various spellings, from Ohio in the late 18th
Century. There are 43 individuals spanning 5
generations.
- WILLCOX, from WILLCOCKSE in England, coming to New Jersey in
early 18th Century. There are 15 individuals spanning 6
generations.
- WOODWARD, from Pennsylvania in the late 18th
Century and later in Ohio. There are 20 individuals
spanning 4 generations.

enlarged. Some photos have been realigned. Some

Reference webpages have not been reformatted yet.)
- Revised menu names for clarification and simplicity, and
revised webpage titles for clarification and to make them
unique.
- Removed those Curiosity, Reference and sitemap webpages
which were not being used. Some information from these
webpages was moved to family webpages. Some information
was moved to existing or new Reference webpages.
- Corrected typos, broken and missing links, font mistakes,
etc.
- Revised some technical details to improve search engine
results. (Additional work remains to be done for search
engines.)
There are some things
about our history that cannot be fixed.
