This lineage includes only the
known descendants of Jean Perlier (g.11) who were born with the
name Perlier or Perlee. All the children of Peter Perlee
[ii] (g.15) are shown. It is not known whether there are any
additional Perlier or Perlee descendants from the other Perliers
and Perlees shown above.
PERLEE is an American spelling from French PERLIER. It is
not clear how the spelling got changed from PERLIER to PERLE to
PERLEE.
Jean Perlier (g.11) lived in
La
Tremblade, Saintonge, France. Presumably after his
death, his wife moved to Rhode Island. The will for Jean
Perlier [ii] (g.12) is on file in New York under the name John
Perle. Much of the family resided in
Staten Island and northern
New Jersey. Peter Perlee [ii] (g.15)
move to southwestern
Ohio sometime after
his daughter Rebecca was born. He is of the same generation
as
Henry Tucker who had moved from
northern New Jersey to southwestern Ohio about 3 decades
earlier. Their children married in 1824 (
see Manning Randall Tucker and Rebecca Ensley
Perlee).
This Perlee genealogy lineage is mostly ancestral and partly
in-law to Tucker.
