East Liberty Cemetery and Kepler Cemetery

East Liberty Cemetery is at 740 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road (State Route 619),  Green (East Liberty), Ohio (Summit County).  It is south of Akron, Ohio, about 1/4 mile west of S. Arlington Road.  Some family records show this as the East Liberty Township cemetery, however it is in Green Township which is now the City of Green.

The oldest section of the cemetery is in the southeast corner.  It is behind a modern church and community center building.  This section appears to have been the old Kepler Cemetery.
William HARRINGTON (1791 Feb 13 - 1864 May 29) g.15
William is buried in the oldest section of the cemetery.  From the most southeastern corner of the roads inside the cemetery, his grave is 6 rows to the east of these roads (almost half way to the eastern edge of the cemetery) and about 8 graves north of the southern edge of the cemetery.  The 2 stones for him face east, away from the roads, one an old upright tombstone and the other a newer headstone flush with the ground (see photo). The upright stone is inscribed: "Wm. HARRINGTON, Died May 29, 1864, Aged 73 ys 3 mo 16 ds" with remaining 4 lines illegible in 2010.  The flush stone is inscribed: "FATHER / Wm HARRINGTON / 1791 - 1864."

Elizabeth SMITH (b. - d.) g.15 see husband (m. HARRINGTON)
The grave for Elizabeth could not be located in 2010, however she might be in the unmarked grave to the south of William.
