Joseph Frazee was one of the 80 associates of
Elizabethtown, now Elizabeth, New Jersey (Union County), who surveyed
and settled the
lands of the
Elizabeth Town Grant purchased from the Indians. The part lying
above the first mountain was surveyed in the years 1736-1737 into
100-acre lots and distributed among the freeholders of Elizabethtown by
drawing. Joseph Frazee drew and owned lots Number 64 and 65,
lying in the valley next to the Falls Mills, but not including the 25
acre mill site.
